Prime is seeking a Director, Scientific Services (Medical Communications) to lead our scientific communications function from our London office. This is a full-time position for an accomplished senior professional ready to shape strategic scientific messaging and evidence-based communication across our portfolio.
What This Role Involves
As Director of Scientific Services, you will oversee the scientific communications strategy, ensuring our messaging is evidence-driven, compliant, and resonates with healthcare professionals and stakeholders. You'll manage a function focused on translating complex scientific concepts into clear, compelling narratives that support business objectives whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory adherence.
What You'll Do
- Lead the scientific communications team, setting strategic direction and ensuring quality standards across all scientific outputs
- Develop and oversee scientific communication frameworks that support product launches, clinical evidence dissemination, and stakeholder engagement
- Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, and marketing teams to ensure scientific rigour and consistency across all communications
- Manage relationships with healthcare professionals, advisory boards, and key opinion leaders
- Ensure all scientific communications meet regulatory requirements and company compliance standards
- Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and accountability
Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related field
- Significant experience in scientific communications, medical communications, or related healthcare field
- Proven track record in a leadership role managing scientific or communications functions
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical or healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse audiences
- Strategic thinking and business acumen paired with scientific credibility
