English Language Arts Teacher – Middle School and High School

About the Role

In this position, you'll lead English Language Arts instruction that develops student literacy, writing proficiency, and engagement with literature and media. You'll work within a collaborative school culture that values equity, innovation, and every student's growth.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver standards-aligned instruction in reading comprehension, writing, speaking, and media literacy
• Create an inclusive classroom environment where students engage confidently with challenging texts and ideas
• Assess student learning and provide targeted feedback to guide progress
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners
• Build meaningful partnerships with families and caregivers around student learning
• Collaborate with fellow educators on curriculum, professional development, and school initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Valid teaching license or certification for English Language Arts, middle and/or high school level
• Deep knowledge of literature, writing instruction, and language arts best practices
• Proven ability to engage diverse learners and differentiate instruction effectively
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for creating an equitable, inclusive learning space
• Commitment to ongoing growth and collaboration
