Good Samaritan is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on a part-time, as-needed basis to join our senior residential community in Howard, Miner County.
About the Role
As an LPN with Good Samaritan, you'll be part of a faith-based organization devoted to supporting the health and independence of older adults. This part-time PRN position provides flexible scheduling as you deliver quality nursing care in a senior living environment. Compensation ranges from $26.50 to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Monitor and record vital signs and observe patient conditions
- Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living
- Administer medications as prescribed and within your scope of practice
- Document care activities and observations accurately in patient records
- Respond to resident needs promptly and communicate changes in condition to the nursing team
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Current, valid LPN license in South Dakota
- Genuine commitment to compassionate care for seniors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
