About This Position
As Senior Consultant, Medical Affairs Strategic Advisory at Prime, you'll lead high-impact medical affairs initiatives for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences organisations. Based in London, you'll develop and execute multi-faceted medical affairs strategies, translating clinical evidence and regulatory insight into actionable advisory recommendations. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare strategy and business transformation, enabling your clients to navigate evolving medical landscapes whilst achieving clinical and commercial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver comprehensive medical affairs strategies tailored to client objectives and regulatory environments
- Provide strategic counsel on clinical development pathways, pharmacovigilance frameworks, and medical communications programmes
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage stakeholder engagement across healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities, and internal partners
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive intelligence to shape medical affairs positioning and competitive strategy
- Translate complex clinical data into clear, persuasive insights for board-level and clinical audiences
- Ensure all advisory work adheres to regulatory standards, industry codes, and compliance frameworks
- Mentor and develop consultant-level team members, fostering excellence across the medical affairs practice
Skills & Qualifications
- MSc, PhD, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in life sciences, clinical pharmacy, medicine, or related discipline
- Minimum seven years' professional experience in medical affairs, healthcare consulting, or strategic advisory roles
- Demonstrated expertise developing and advising on medical affairs strategies for pharmaceutical or biotech clients
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks, clinical development processes, and pharmacovigilance requirements
- Exceptional strategic and analytical capabilities, with ability to synthesise complex healthcare data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholder engagement
- Proven experience leading teams and managing delivery of large-scale strategic projects
