About the Role
Peek Pavement Marking is hiring an entry-level Road Construction Pavement Marking Laborer and Driver to join our striping crew based at 462 Holly Shelter Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540. This is a hands-on, full-time field position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality roadwork, and wants a clear path to advance. No prior experience is required — we provide the training you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply pavement markings, striping, and traffic lines on roads, lots, and highways
- Assist the crew with setup, equipment handling, and jobsite preparation
- Operate and drive company vehicles to and between worksites (CDL holders earn a higher rate)
- Follow safety procedures and traffic-control practices at all times
- Support daily field operations to keep projects on schedule
Qualifications
- Willingness to perform physical, outdoor labor in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Valid driver's license required; a CDL is a plus and increases your starting pay
- Eagerness to learn pavement marking techniques on the job
