Director, Product Management, Customer Security Outcomes

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization seeking a Director, Product Management, Customer Security Outcomes. This fully remote U.S. role offers the opportunity to shape the product vision and strategy for security operations, delivering scalable and measurable services that set industry standards for security service delivery.

You will own the strategic direction at the intersection of customers, security operations experts, and technology, ensuring our client delivers world-class managed security outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and document vision and strategy for threat detection, risk management, and cyber operations services based on market research and customer feedback
• Establish customer-driven security operations outcomes and performance measures across managed investigation, managed response, threat hunting, and advisory services
• Partner with security operations and product teams to implement features that deliver industry-leading security outcomes and operational alignment
• Serve as a customer-facing thought leader, participating in executive customer advisory boards and managing critical incidents and escalations
• Collaborate with product marketing to establish the organization as an industry leader in security operations standards and best practices

What We're Looking For

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies with experience leveraging or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize security outcomes
• 8+ years of experience in detection and response with a background in delivering technology-led managed services at scale
• Proven operational experience running a Security Operations Center (SOC) with deep credibility among industry SOC leaders
• In-depth understanding of the security market, vendor landscape, automation, and threat detection and response technologies
• Demonstrated ability to distill complex situations into data-driven plans with strong B2B experience within growth-stage businesses
• Exceptional customer-facing and communication skills
• Comfortable thriving in ambiguous environments and building solutions as you go
• Ownership mindset with the ability to navigate between high-level strategy and hands-on execution
• High-trust collaborator who values candid feedback and team success

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience designing strategic product roadmaps that leverage generative AI to automate workflows and accelerate security outcomes
• Tech-forward expertise embracing automation, AI, and modern methodologies such as agentic workflows
• Strong background viewing services through a product lens to influence core product management and engineering teams
