Director – International Relations and Diplomacy Programs

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a prestigious international higher education institution seeking a Director of International Relations and Diplomacy Programs for their Paris location. This senior academic leadership role offers the opportunity to shape curriculum, lead faculty, and drive student success across undergraduate, graduate, and online programs in a global educational environment.

The successful candidate will oversee program design, curriculum development, faculty performance, and student outcomes while ensuring compliance with U.S. accreditation standards and local regulatory requirements. You'll collaborate with academic leaders across multiple campuses and provide overall academic leadership at the Paris campus.

Responsibilities

• Lead program design, review, and continuous improvement for International Relations and Diplomacy offerings across all delivery modes
• Assess and enhance program and course learning outcomes in collaboration with academic teams
• Drive innovation in teaching methodologies and educational technology integration
• Identify, hire, and assign qualified faculty across all campus locations and online programs
• Conduct annual faculty evaluations and course observations; coordinate faculty development initiatives
• Support and grow distance learning master's programs in the discipline
• Monitor student outcomes data and design interventions to support retention and success
• Collaborate with career services teams to enhance student employability and career readiness
• Ensure quality and compliance with accreditation requirements and regulatory standards
• Manage faculty workload and course assignments in coordination with campus academic leaders

What We're Looking For

• Earned Doctorate in International Relations, Diplomacy, or closely related field from an accredited institution (or near completion)
• Proven experience in higher education administration and academic leadership
• Demonstrated excellence in academic program design, review, and faculty management
• Strong commitment to student support, engagement, and success
• Knowledge and experience in distance learning and online instruction
• Understanding of American and/or French higher education systems preferred
• Native English speaker or demonstrated English proficiency required
• French, German, or Spanish language skills highly desirable
• Strong intercultural communication skills and cultural agility
• Leadership capabilities with focus on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Experience driving vision and managing change in academic environments
