Spanish Instructor, PT Adjunct Faculty or Freelance – Paris

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international university with a campus in Paris. Our talent team is seeking a part-time adjunct Spanish instructor to deliver beginner-level instruction starting in September. This is a freelance or adjunct faculty position teaching Monday mornings (9:00-12:00) over a four-month period.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Elementary Spanish I courses maintaining student engagement and academic standards
• Contribute to curriculum updates and pedagogical innovation within the Spanish language program
• Serve as subject matter expert, ensuring course content remains current and rigorous
• Respond to student inquiries in a timely and professional manner using institutional communication channels
• Review and grade student submissions using appropriate rubrics, providing constructive formative and summative feedback
• Facilitate discussion board activities and maintain regular interaction with students through the learning management system
• Identify at-risk students and provide appropriate academic support to promote successful course completion
• Participate in scheduled faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
• Submit required administrative documentation to comply with accreditation standards
• Integrate digital learning resources into teaching strategies when applicable

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Spanish, Education, or related field (required)
• 3-5 years of university-level teaching experience preferred
• Native or near-native Spanish fluency strongly preferred
• English proficiency is a plus
• Experience with online or hybrid teaching modalities (desirable)
• Practical knowledge of learning management systems such as Blackboard (desirable)
• Proficiency with standard software: Outlook, Excel, Word, and internet-based tools
• Ability to provide substantive, courteous feedback that supports student learning
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet administrative deadlines
