DIRECTOR, FINANCE – REMOTE – EAST COAST (Chesterbrook, PA, US, 19087-5564)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential foodservice organization in their search for a Director of Finance to work remotely from the East Coast. This is a strategic finance leadership role supporting a large-scale client account, with responsibility for financial planning, reporting, and operational finance functions.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional who can drive financial strategy while maintaining hands-on oversight of accounting operations, budgeting, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial aspects of a major client account and develop financial strategy and planning initiatives
• Prepare and analyze monthly management reports, business owner reports, rebid analyses, and ad hoc financial requests
• Develop and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
• Compile and analyze budgets and forecasts, including scenario planning and strategic recommendations
• Provide guidance to operating units and management on client returns and profit objectives
• Review monthly financial results and implement variance reporting processes
• Prepare annual budgets in consultation with regional leadership
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures
• Establish controls to ensure personnel and financial data security in compliance with current regulations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year institution
• Five or more years of progressive finance experience, including reporting and analysis
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Advanced proficiency with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide actionable insights
• Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for complex operations
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple shifting priorities
• Excellent professional and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to senior leadership
• Independent thinking with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Detail-oriented with ability to work with both abstract concepts and concrete data
