About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential medical technology organization in their search for a Director of Cardiology Centers of Excellence Partnerships. This strategic leadership role sits at the intersection of clinical cardiology, translational science, and healthcare innovation. You will cultivate and manage high-impact partnerships with leading cardiovascular institutions across the United States, developing initiatives that advance patient outcomes and the standard of care.

This is not a commercial sales role, nor a purely technical position. We're seeking someone who can operate across domains—building trust with top-tier clinicians, researchers, and institutional leaders while driving meaningful impact through relationship management and strategic program development. The ideal candidate combines customer-oriented thinking with scientific rigor and the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with cardiology centers of excellence, fostering long-term collaboration across clinical, scientific, educational, and innovation domains
  • Initiate and drive programs that generate measurable improvements in cardiovascular care delivery, research, and education
  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving clinical practices in cardiology to inform strategic direction
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clinical leaders and internal stakeholders, identifying shared priorities and aligning technologies and expertise to support joint objectives
  • Facilitate cross-functional engagement across clinical, commercial, R&D, education, and digital teams to support partnership execution
  • Lead initiatives that translate clinical insights into scalable innovations, including pilots, validation studies, and translational research programs
  • Represent the organization in external forums, including academic conferences, advisory boards, and collaborative networks
  • Monitor evolving trends in cardiovascular medicine and health systems to identify new partnership opportunities
  • Support the development of educational programs and knowledge exchange platforms with partner institutions

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in medicine, biomedical sciences, engineering, or related field (MD, MSc, or equivalent experience leading cardiovascular service lines or care transformation)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in cardiovascular care, translational research, or strategic partnerships within healthcare
  • Proven ability to build and sustain high-trust relationships with clinical leaders and institutions
  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular clinical workflows, technologies, and innovation trends
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across complex organizations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage diverse audiences from clinicians to executives
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; our client will not provide visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to travel frequently to Wisconsin and other US locations approximately 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent business training
  • Experience working with academic medical centers, professional societies, or global health systems
  • Familiarity with co-creation models, translational research, and clinical validation frameworks
  • Strategic thinking with passion for advancing cardiovascular care through collaboration and innovation
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes in dynamic, matrixed environments
