Our client operates a large-scale time series platform, and you'll be maintaining and extending foundational technologies to provide highly available, distributed services to customers who depend on real-time data analysis at scale.

You'll join a collaborative team focused on designing, implementing, and operating large-scale, multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructure driven by GitOps methodology. This is a remote-first opportunity with a globally distributed workforce that values respect, kindness, and cross-team collaboration.

  • Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to support product excellence
  • Participate in low-volume pager rotation and serve as a subject matter expert on Kubernetes and infrastructure operations
  • Automate manual processes and refine existing automation to improve predictability
  • Troubleshoot complex issues both individually and as part of a team
  • Support production workloads within managed and self-managed Kubernetes platforms

What We're Looking For

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Production-level experience with Kubernetes and surrounding ecosystems (e.g., Istio, Vault, and other Cloud Native technologies)
  • Strong experience with Terraform and automation tooling
  • Hands-on experience with production workloads in managed and self-managed Kubernetes platforms
  • Experience with DevOps patterns (compute, storage, database, network) in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Strong Linux operations skills
  • Methodical troubleshooting abilities for complex technical issues
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a focus on iterative excellence
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation

Bonus Experience:

  • Maintaining and operating a SaaS environment
  • Incident commander experience, coordinating multiple groups to resolve critical problems
  • CI/CD experience (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Extensive automation experience
  • Working in a remote-first, distributed team environment
  • Experience with applications written in Go and/or Rust
