About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a well-funded open-source security platform in their search for a Design Engineer, Site. This confidential client operates in the developer tools space and is experiencing significant growth, serving enterprise customers globally. They are looking for an exceptional design engineer to own their web presence and create iconic, high-performance experiences that drive organic traffic and user adoption.

This role sits at the intersection of frontend engineering, design, and growth. You'll be the go-to person for building and maintaining the design and infrastructure of the company's landing page, working closely with leadership, engineering, design, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship pixel-perfect, reusable components and complex designs for the main website
• Build and maintain core website pages including home, product, blogs, and learning/resource hub
• Own frontend architecture, code quality, CMS integration, and overall user experience
• Implement SEO best practices to maximize organic visibility
• Run A/B tests and optimize conversion funnels
• Integrate analytics, attribution, and marketing tooling such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and marketing automation platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align web strategy with business goals

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Deep mastery of JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Strong experience with React/Next.js frameworks
• Proven track record building high-quality frontend systems and components
• Strong attention to performance, accessibility, and maintainability
• Experience with web design and design systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Bias toward action: able to make decisions, iterate quickly, and take calculated risks
• Based in the Americas (San Francisco preferred) or able to work EST hours

Nice to Have:

• Technical SEO fundamentals
• Experience with CMS platforms such as Contentful or Sanity
• Experience configuring website analytics and marketing platform integrations
• Background with developer-facing products or startup environments
