Data Analyst (m/w/d) Power BI

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential multi-site organization seeking a Data Analyst specializing in Power BI to serve as the central point of contact for data, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives across the organization.

In this role, you will:

• Integrate data from diverse systems including HR platforms, ERP systems, CRM, and other business applications to create a reliable foundation for group-wide reporting
• Design and optimize dashboards, reports, and management analyses using Power BI, ensuring metrics are clear, meaningful, and appropriately structured for different user groups
• Serve as the central contact for AI application deployment to optimize business processes, working with departments to identify practical use cases, evaluate suitable solutions, and guide implementation
• Continuously develop data models, interfaces, and architectures with focus on data quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Build data integrations and automate recurring reporting and business processes using SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, and other Microsoft technologies
• Translate business requirements from Finance, Controlling, Sales, and other departments into appropriate data and BI solutions while helping define unified KPIs and metrics
• Take ownership of Power BI, reporting, and data projects from initial concept through technical implementation to rollout and ongoing development
• Establish clear documentation, consistent reporting standards, high data quality, and continuously develop governance and best practices within the Power BI environment

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a comparable position
• Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration with IT focus, or equivalent qualification
• Very strong knowledge of Power BI and SQL with practical experience in data modeling, relational databases, and developing ETL/ELT processes and data integrations
• Proficiency in the Microsoft data ecosystem, ideally with hands-on experience using Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, and other Microsoft technologies
• Familiarity with performance optimization and building scalable BI solutions
• Strong understanding of business economics and key performance indicators, ideally with experience in Finance, Controlling, Sales, or comparable operational environments
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a drive to question existing processes and improve systems proactively
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse departments and stakeholders while handling sensitive company data responsibly
• Willingness for moderate travel (approximately every two months for up to one week) to visit various locations
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing (minimum C1 level)

You don't need to master every technology perfectly. What matters most is your genuine interest in understanding data and relationships, your ability to dive deep technically, and your enthusiasm for actively shaping a complex data landscape.
