About the Role
As a lead educator at City of Cape Coral's youth center, you'll create enriching learning environments where preschool-age children develop social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. This is a hands-on role where planning, organization, and curriculum design directly impact child outcomes and family confidence in our programs.
What You'll Do
- Design and facilitate recreational and educational activities aligned with age-appropriate developmental milestones
- Establish safe, supportive classroom spaces that encourage exploration, creativity, and peer interaction
- Plan and execute programs that comply with facility guidelines and early childhood best practices
- Observe and assess children's developmental progress to inform instruction and support individualized learning
- Communicate regularly with families about their child's growth and experiences
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by program standards
What We're Looking For
- Teaching experience or demonstrated expertise with preschool-age children
- Knowledge of early childhood development and child-centered instruction
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to create inclusive, nurturing environments
- Willingness to undergo background check and fingerprinting (required for this safety-sensitive position)
- Current or ability to obtain relevant early childhood certifications preferred
