Consultant / Berater (m/w/d) für Datenschutz, KI & Informationssicherheit

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consulting organization seeking a Data Privacy, AI & Information Security Consultant to join their team in Augsburg. In this role, you will:

• Advise clients across industries on operational and strategic GDPR implementation, serving as external or deputy Data Protection Officer when required
• Support organizations in the legally compliant implementation of AI solutions, evaluating tools against data protection requirements and EU AI Act provisions
• Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIA), perform external audits, and develop practical privacy frameworks
• Deliver workshops and coaching sessions to raise awareness among client teams regarding secure handling of sensitive data
• Build and audit Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) based on ISO 27001, TISAX, or NIS-2 standards, and lead IT compliance projects (for candidates with IT security expertise)

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a data privacy consultant, privacy manager, or IT compliance advisor, ideally with relevant certifications (e.g., DSB TÜV/DEKRA, CIPP/E)
• Strong IT and technical affinity, particularly regarding AI technologies, cloud architectures, and their compliant deployment
• Solution-oriented and structured working style with a hands-on mentality
• Excellent communication skills, professional client-facing presence, and collaborative team spirit
• Fluent German and good English language skills
• Full-time availability for an Augsburg-based or remote position
