Product Owner (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization based in Munich that is seeking a Product Owner to join their growing team. Our client develops software solutions serving small and medium-sized businesses across the DACH region. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of product strategy and work closely with development teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

After a comprehensive onboarding period, you will become a key driver of the product vision, working at the intersection of customer needs, technical implementation, and business value.

Responsibilities

• Drive product vision by deeply understanding customer needs and challenges, relentlessly pursuing optimal solutions
• Collaborate closely with development teams to transform product ideas into reality, from requirements gathering through implementation support
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritize backlog items, and ensure the team focuses on high-value work
• Make data-driven decisions to ensure smooth product implementation, serving as the bridge between product and development teams
• Monitor open bug tickets and stay current on customer and stakeholder challenges
• Work with senior product leadership and internal stakeholders to shape and contribute to the product roadmap
• Own mobile application release cycles

What We're Looking For

• Completed technical degree or equivalent qualification
• Solid understanding of software development processes
• 3-4 years of experience in project management or product organization roles
• Experience working in the DACH market
• Background with SaaS products
• Previous experience in small or growing companies
• Deep curiosity about technology and user needs with a continuous improvement mindset
• Familiarity with agile values, Kanban, and Scrum methodologies
• Proven experience writing user stories and breaking down epics into implementable units
• Analytical, data-driven thinking with strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English (German language skills are a significant advantage)
