Staff Site Reliability Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential identity and access management SaaS organization in their search for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer. This is a fully remote position where you'll work on one of the largest cloud-based identity platforms serving major enterprise clients globally.

Our client operates a DevOps model with integrated Development and Operations teams running continuous deployments daily. You'll be involved in every facet of their cloud-based services, establishing solutions for building, deploying, and maintaining critical infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver infrastructure solutions for cloud-hosted production environments, working both collaboratively and independently
• Review and provide technical feedback on solutions delivered by other engineers
• Shape how mission-critical enterprise software is developed and deployed using optimized and automated CI/CD pipelines
• Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure and security technologies that offer resiliency, observability, and optimized cost
• Communicate proactively with different audiences within the organization, sharing knowledge and expertise to help others grow
• Participate in planning work and identify areas for continuous improvement
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies for infrastructure needs
• Participate in on-call rotation for maintenance of cloud solutions

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Experience in scalable, distributed systems architecture
• Experience with Cloud Platforms, ideally GCP
• Proficiency programming with Go (Golang)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and Docker for containerization
• Experience defining and implementing automated service deployments, including networking, security, reliability, management, reporting, and configuration management
• In-depth understanding of best practices for deployment automation
• Experience using Git in a team environment (pull requests, branching, push, and pulls)
• CS Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of networking, including routing, naming, security, network performance, and network failure modes
• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts
• Experience with instrumentation and management of automated deployments
• Background resolving customer deployment issues
• Experience working with globally distributed teams
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and experience building CI/CD pipelines
