Werkstudent:in Copywriting & Kommunikation (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI consultancy based in Berlin that deploys practical AI solutions for established businesses in the German market. Our talent team is searching for a working student (Werkstudent:in) to take ownership of all client-facing communication, product messaging, and case study writing.

This is not a content calendar role. You will write the pages that explain complex AI implementations to time-pressed decision-makers who trust evidence over adjectives. A typical week: receive a briefing and sales call transcript on Monday, ask clarifying questions, present your draft at Wednesday's stand-up for line-by-line review, see it go live by Friday.

You must be enrolled at a German university and available for at least six months. One fixed office day per week in Berlin; the rest is flexible around your studies.

Responsibilities

• Write product pages for executive workshops, AI implementation services, and technical audits — argument, structure, proof points, and calls to action
• Maintain the company website: homepage, service pages, and career section with each new hire
• Turn project materials, transcripts, and dashboards into case studies: the problem, the solution built, the measurable outcome
• Draft presentations and lead magnets: webinar scripts, maturity assessments, slides that work without a presenter
• Maintain the messaging document by extracting client language from sales calls monthly using an AI analyzer tool
• Research and write approximately two long-form articles per month, self-edited
• Provide feedback on LinkedIn posts: what's missing and why, without rewriting

Early on, you receive detailed briefs and first drafts. After a few months, you bring the concepts and receive yes-or-no decisions.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Currently enrolled in any field of study, available for minimum six months
• Native-level German writing ability — not just error-free, but with rhythm, brevity, and the right tone for a manufacturing executive
• At least one prior role where writing was your job or a significant part: internship at a PR or communications agency, content work at a B2B startup, editorial position, or corporate communications
• Published work samples with readership. One must accompany your application
• Based in Berlin or relocating; able to attend one fixed office day weekly

Explicitly not required:

• Marketing or communications degree — we evaluate the writing, not the major
• Landing page or funnel experience (taught in first eight weeks if needed)
• AI tool experience (learned in week one on real work)
• Mid-market industry knowledge (curiosity about damage claims processing, spare parts logistics, and bid calculation expected)
• CMS, HubSpot, or SEO expertise (all learnable in two weeks)

You will thrive if:

• A poorly constructed sentence bothers you physically, and you rewrite it rather than debate it
• You ask five questions before starting: for whom, what decision should this trigger, what evidence supports it, what objection comes first, what is the next step
• You deliver work when it's good, not when it's perfect
• You follow AI developments and consider what matters to established businesses
• You view feedback on your text as part of the craft, not personal criticism
• You never submit AI-generated drafts without thorough review and editing

This role is not suitable if you want to:

• Build social media strategies, editorial calendars, or reporting dashboards
• Write for the startup and tech community rather than long-established companies
• Only write about topics you personally find exciting
• Work in an environment without direct, detailed editorial feedback on every piece

What You'll Gain

Your words go live within days. After 90 days, you will have four product pages and three client case studies in your portfolio. You receive weekly line-by-line feedback from an experienced professional copywriter, plus input from the founder — a level of editorial mentorship typically reserved for more senior roles at agencies.

You will learn to write with AI, not let AI write for you. From day one, you work with Claude and two pre-built skills (one for article research, one for extracting client language from sales conversations). After completing a task three times, you build it as a skill yourself — no coding required. Within 90 days, you will have created two custom tools. More importantly, you learn the harder skill: recognizing when text sounds machine-generated and bringing it back to human quality.

You hear the actual sales conversations with the executives you're writing for, then use their words instead of internal jargon. You work directly with the founder in weekly content stand-ups with no approval layers. Office space is provided in a central Berlin coworking location. You can reduce hours during exam periods and increase during semester breaks. Expect 15-20 hours weekly at €22 per hour.

After twelve months in this role, you will have shaped the entire voice of a growing consultancy: website, case studies, presentations, and core messaging. Strong performers receive realistic post-graduation opportunities in communications, growth, or consulting functions.

Pay
