Construction Foreman – Roadway

Role Overview

As a Roadway Construction Foreman, you'll take the lead on site operations and crew management for highway and roadway projects. This hands-on leadership position demands strong problem-solving skills, safety focus, and the ability to manage multiple work phases from planning through completion. You'll report directly to project management and serve as the critical link between office coordination and field execution.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and coordinate construction crews performing roadway, earthwork, and drainage tasks
• Ensure jobsite safety compliance, enforce safety protocols, and conduct regular toolbox talks
• Monitor project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation to maintain productivity
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and finished work against specifications and blueprints
• Document daily progress reports, track worker hours, and manage crew time records
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate workflow
• Identify and resolve on-site challenges to keep projects moving forward

Who We're Looking For

• Several years of hands-on construction experience in roadway, heavy civil, or related field
• Proven track record leading construction crews and managing jobsite operations
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and industry standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities under pressure
• Valid driver's license and ability to work full-time on-site
• Commitment to safety and a clean safety record preferred
