Clinical Data Manager-Philippines

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential clinical research organization specializing in therapeutic development. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Clinical Data Manager to join their Philippines-based operations. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on clinical trials within a collaborative, mid-sized environment where you can build meaningful professional relationships across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee clinical data management activities to ensure data from multiple clinical trials is collected, managed, and reported with accuracy and compliance. Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing electronic case report form (eCRF) specifications, including data capture screens and edit check specifications for study-specific clinical databases and EDC systems
• Programming, validating, and maintaining clinical databases, including User Acceptance Testing
• Creating eCRF completion guidelines and training materials for site users and monitors
• Conducting training sessions on clinical database systems for site personnel and monitors
• Developing data transfer agreements and specifications with external vendors providing laboratory and other clinical data
• Performing data reconciliation between external sources and EDC systems, including safety database reconciliation for adverse events when required
• Supporting development of external data capture systems (ePRO, IWRS) and ensuring proper data transfer protocols
• Preparing data management plans and related clinical data management documentation
• Managing ongoing data review and cleaning activities through database lock/close
• Coding medical terms using standardized dictionaries
• Generating data listings and reports for project team review
• Monitoring study metrics such as enrollment and CRF completion, providing status reports to project teams
• Maintaining complete and current data management documentation in trial master files
• Managing user access and providing EDC system support
• Archiving clinical databases and related documentation
• Mentoring Clinical Data Coordinators
• Overseeing outsourced vendors to ensure deliverables meet timelines and quality standards

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field (Master's degree is an asset)
• 5-10 years of clinical data management experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments
• Strong understanding of drug development processes and applicable regulations, including Good Clinical Practices and ICH Guidelines
• Extensive experience with EDC systems and database structures, with demonstrated database programming skills
• Good understanding of CDISC SDTM/CDASH standards
• Knowledge of MedDRA and WHODrug dictionaries
• Solid understanding of Good Clinical Practices and FDA regulations/guidelines
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and project planning capabilities
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively
• Must be legally authorized to work in the Philippines

Work Arrangement: This is a permanent, full-time home-based position in the Philippines. Some meeting attendance outside regular business hours (primarily evenings) is required.
