About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise AI and data consulting firm operating in Germany. Our client works directly with large organizations to implement production-grade data platforms, intelligent automation, and GenAI solutions. This is not sandbox work—you'll be building the technical backbone for real corporate systems where uptime, security, and data quality matter from day one.

As a Data Engineer, you'll design and operate the data infrastructure that supports everything from reporting to automation to AI use cases. You'll work on high-stakes projects where your pipelines, integrations, and platform choices directly impact business operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines and integrations in corporate production environments
• Build APIs and connectors to integrate heterogeneous enterprise systems while maintaining consistent data mapping
• Set up and manage cloud data infrastructure, including IAM, access controls, and security configuration
• Work with modern data platform tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar technologies to deliver scalable client solutions
• Establish the technical foundation for reporting, automation, and GenAI initiatives across client organizations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience designing, building, and operating data pipelines in corporate production settings
• Solid understanding of data quality practices and cross-system data mapping
• Hands-on experience integrating heterogeneous systems, including API and connector development
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud provider (Microsoft Azure preferred), including IAM and security setup
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or equivalent tools
• Strong grasp of networking and security fundamentals as applied to data infrastructure
• Track record delivering this work on real, high-stakes projects rather than academic or internal-only initiatives is highly valued
• Skills and ownership matter more than formal credentials—our client favors action and direct accountability over hierarchy
