Information Security / Resilience Manager (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity consultancy serving private and governmental clients across Europe. Our talent team is seeking an Information Security / Resilience Manager (m/w/d) to be based in Munich. This leadership role combines team management, strategic client engagement, and hands-on delivery of governance, risk, compliance, and incident readiness programs.

In this position, you will lead a team of GRC and resilience consultants while maintaining active involvement in complex client projects and pre-sales activities. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to top-tier accounts, helping organizations strengthen their security posture and build comprehensive resilience frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical account relationships for strategic clients in the cybersecurity domain
• Lead and develop a team of GRC or Resilience consultants to deliver exceptional client services
• Assess security maturity and resilience maturity using ISO, BSI, or NIST frameworks to identify improvement opportunities
• Design and implement tailored security programs aligned with industry standards, or guide clients in developing Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery programs
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Oversee implementation of security policies, procedures, controls, and BCM/DRP systems
• Act as a security champion within client organizations, promoting awareness and driving cultural change
• Facilitate steering committees with stakeholders to adapt and guide security programs
• Provide executive reporting on security state and program progress
• Support business development through creation of Statements of Work, project plans, and requirements definitions

What We're Looking For

• Citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states or Austrian citizenship
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Security, or related field
• Professional certifications strongly preferred: CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent
• Proven experience as a CISO or in successfully implementing ISO27k or BSI Grundschutz, including risk assessment, security roadmap creation, CISOaaS, and policy development
• Alternatively, demonstrated experience as a resilience officer implementing BCM or DRP programs
• Deep knowledge of industry standards and frameworks including ISO 27001, DORA, NIST, NIS-2, and GDPR
• Familiarity with risk management methodologies and their application to cybersecurity
• Ability to understand complex business environments and adapt communication and security programs accordingly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
• Strong leadership capabilities for team management and cross-functional collaboration
