Senior Golang Software Engineer, Infrastructure – remote in the US

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization that is building the next generation of GPU-as-a-Service platforms. Our client is seeking a Senior Golang Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join their remote team in the United States.

This is a hands-on role where you will design and implement the infrastructure services that power a high-performance GPU platform. You will build the control plane that translates high-level API calls into real infrastructure actions—enrolling bare-metal servers, provisioning them, and assembling them into multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters on specialized hardware.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure API Design: Design, build, and maintain versioned REST and gRPC APIs for bare-metal server lifecycle management, machine type definitions, and cluster CRUD operations
• Provisioning & Workflow Development: Develop asynchronous workflows that drive server enrollment, inspection, OS provisioning, and cluster bring-up, exposing durable status to API consumers
• Implementation: Implement and maintain consoles and interfaces that visualize hardware inventory, provisioning progress, and cluster health across the platform
• System Reliability: Design error-handling models, idempotency guarantees, and reconciliation loops necessary to manage long-running provisioning operations reliably
• Full Lifecycle Ownership: Own the complete lifecycle of infrastructure-level services—from server and machine-type APIs down to provisioning workflows and reconciliation loops that maintain platform consistency with physical hardware

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• API Development: Strong experience designing RESTful APIs or gRPC services with a solid understanding of API versioning and gateway patterns
• Go Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Golang, particularly for backend and Kubernetes ecosystem development
• Kubernetes Knowledge: Deep understanding of Kubernetes primitives, controller patterns, and reconciler patterns. You will work with systems that translate high-level API calls into infrastructure actions
• Bare-Metal Provisioning: Hands-on experience with bare-metal provisioning flows including BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management, and hardware inspection
• Asynchronous Systems: Proven experience building workflow-driven or event-driven systems where operations are long-running and state must remain consistent across retries and failures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building informers or reconciliation bridges that maintain consistency between external datastores and Kubernetes resource state
• Experience building multi-tenant platforms with strict data and network isolation requirements
• Familiarity with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps-driven configuration tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
• Experience with GPU server hardware, DPUs/NICs, and high-performance datacenter network fabrics
