About This Opportunity

We are representing a renowned luxury fashion house based in Paris's 8th arrondissement. Our client is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker specializing in draping and/or tailoring to join their creative studio team. This is a permanent contract (CDI) position working directly with the artistic direction team.

As a pattern maker, you will translate sketches and creative vision into volumes and initial patterns, ensuring the silhouette, proportions, and fit integrity of the collections meet the highest standards of luxury fashion.

Responsibilities

• Interpret sketches and references from the creative studio to develop patterns
• Work on volumes using flat pattern making and draping techniques
• Create and modify toiles (muslins) for prototyping
• Oversee prototype assembly with the atelier team
• Lead fittings and propose adjustments to cut and proportions
• Refine patterns through multiple iterations until final validation
• Deliver complete technical files and model specifications to the technical design office

What We're Looking For

• Formal training in pattern making (BTS, DMA, ESMOD, AICP, Chambre Syndicale, or equivalent)
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a pattern maker within a luxury fashion house or high-end ready-to-wear brand
• Specialization in draping (flou) and/or tailoring, with strong knowledge of associated fabrics (silk, crepe, woolens, structured textiles)
• Mastery of flat pattern making and draping techniques; familiarity with CAD software is a plus
• Creative sensitivity and understanding of luxury fashion aesthetics
• Excellent eye for volume, detail, and garment fit
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with the creative studio
• Ability to meet collection deadlines and manage multiple fittings
