Legal Engineer Manager, Paris

We are representing a confidential legal technology organization that is transforming how professional services leverage AI-driven solutions. Our client is experiencing significant growth across EMEA and seeks a Legal Engineer Manager to lead their Paris-based pre-sales team.

This leadership role combines legal expertise with team management and strategic thinking. You'll lead a team of skilled lawyers who serve as trusted advisors to law firm partners and in-house legal departments, demonstrating how advanced AI solutions can enhance day-to-day legal workflows. Your team secures the "legal win" in the sales process by building consultative relationships and providing credible, practice-specific guidance to prospective customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Legal Engineers, setting clear performance expectations and building a high-trust, high-output culture
• Own the quality and consistency of pre-sales legal engineering delivery, ensuring demos, discovery conversations, and deal support meet the highest standards
• Partner with Account Executives and GTM leadership to prioritize pipeline, develop deal strategy, and support conversion on complex opportunities
• Engage directly with lawyers at prospective organizations to understand and address their workflow challenges
• Lead tailored product demonstrations for various law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams, validating value and showcasing relevant features
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to ensure field insights inform positioning, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy
• Act as the "Voice of the Customer," synthesizing feedback through a legal lens to help sales and product teams develop more effective strategies
• Travel as required to customer locations and company offices

What We're Looking For

• Qualified lawyer with 7+ years post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment
• Prior experience managing a team, with a proven track record of developing talent and driving performance
• Deep familiarity with legal technology and AI tools, with ability to quickly develop and demonstrate platform expertise
• Strong commercial instincts and ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders at law firms and in-house legal teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience running training, workshops, or client-facing product sessions
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris
