Account Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global language services organization seeking an Account Manager to join their Paris office. Our client is a market leader in helping international brands communicate and operate across borders through translation, localization, and technology solutions.

This is a business development-focused role targeting the Life Sciences sector. You'll prospect new clients, expand existing relationships, and help organizations navigate complex multilingual communication challenges. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and takes ownership of client success.

Responsibilities

• Develop prospective clients through internet sourcing, trade shows, referrals, professional directories, and personal investigation
• Generate new business through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and regional organizations
• Grow revenue from existing accounts by working with senior leadership to expand relationships and cross-sell services
• Negotiate rates and project timelines with prospects and current clients
• Educate clients on translation processes, turnaround justifications, and competitive positioning
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure quality delivery and attention to detail
• Maintain consistent client follow-up to ensure satisfaction with delivery, quality, and service
• Stay current on Life Sciences industry trends, key players, and market developments
• Contribute to improving business development strategies through creative problem-solving

What We're Looking For

• Superior written and spoken communication skills in German and English (required)
• Prior experience in a client-facing role with strong interpersonal skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with proactive attitude toward outbound sales
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Problem-solving orientation with good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Track record of building and maintaining strategic client relationships
