About This Role

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in Düsseldorf that is seeking a C++ Software Developer to join their payment systems team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on mission-critical backend systems processing high-volume transactions in the mobility sector.

In this role, you will develop and maintain high-performance, scalable backend platforms using C++, Java, and Python. You'll work across the full development lifecycle—from initial design and implementation through to continuous enhancement of production systems. The technology stack includes both legacy HPE-NonStop systems and modern cloud-based payment applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-availability backend systems and platform components using C++
• Build scalable payment processing solutions handling millions of transactions
• Work with SQL databases to ensure data integrity and performance
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to ensure system reliability
• Collaborate on both legacy system maintenance and new product development
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment
• Operate in a Linux-based development and production environment

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• Solid practical experience in software development with C++
• Strong expertise working with SQL databases
• Proven experience with Linux-based systems
• Excellent German language skills (written and spoken)
• Good English language proficiency
• Experience with Java or Python is advantageous
