Business Development Representative

Premium Merchant Funding is hiring a full-time Business Development Representative to grow our merchant funding business in Brooklyn, New York. In this role, you'll drive new client acquisition, build lasting relationships with business owners, and help merchants access the capital they need to grow.

What This Role Involves

As a Business Development Representative at Premium Merchant Funding, you'll be the face of our company to prospective merchant clients. You'll identify promising business opportunities, present our funding solutions to decision-makers, and guide merchants through their application process. This is a high-impact, client-facing position where your communication skills and sales instincts directly influence revenue growth. You'll work in our Brooklyn office and develop a deep understanding of the merchant funding space, building a network of small business owners and operators who rely on our capital solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify potential merchant clients through outbound calls, networking, and referral channels
• Present Premium Merchant Funding's solutions to business owners and financial decision-makers
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with merchant prospects and existing clients
• Prepare customized funding proposals and presentations tailored to client needs
• Follow up systematically with prospects to move them through the sales pipeline
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and business development goals
• Gather market feedback and report on competitive landscape insights to your team

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales, business development, or client relationship management experience
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing business
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Comfort with rejection and a results-oriented, resilient mindset
• Basic understanding of small business financing or willingness to learn rapidly
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up discipline
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
