Position Summary

Premium Merchant Funding is hiring a Financial Sales Intern for our Queens office to support our business development efforts. You'll work alongside seasoned sales professionals in the fast-moving world of alternative merchant financing, learning how to identify qualified prospects, manage client relationships, and close funding opportunities. This role offers real responsibility and direct mentorship as you build a foundation in B2B sales and the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and reach out to business owners and operators seeking merchant cash advances and alternative funding
• Qualify leads and assess fit for Premium Merchant Funding's lending products
• Support sales team members through follow-up calls, emails, and in-person meetings
• Build and maintain organized records of prospect interactions and deal progress
• Participate in client presentations and learn the sales cycle from opportunity through approval
• Research and identify new business prospects within our target markets in and around New York
• Assist with preparing client proposals and supporting documentation

Skills & Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a business, finance, economics, or communications program
• Strong communication skills—comfortable on the phone and in professional conversations
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Detail-oriented and organized in tracking leads, dates, and follow-ups
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new CRM or database systems
• Genuine interest in sales, business development, or the merchant financing industry
