JM is hiring a Big Box Key Account Manager to drive growth and partnership value with our largest retail customers from our Denver, Colorado headquarters. This full-time role owns strategic relationships with major big box retailers and directly shapes JM's performance with our most important accounts.
About the Role
As a Big Box Key Account Manager at JM, you'll serve as the strategic relationship owner and primary point of contact for our largest retail partners. You'll develop comprehensive account strategies, identify expansion opportunities, and ensure alignment between JM's capabilities and customer objectives. This position combines relationship management with business acumen, requiring you to think strategically about market dynamics while executing tactical plans that drive measurable results.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution for assigned key accounts, developing detailed business plans that drive sales growth and profitability
- Serve as the primary relationship owner and trusted advisor to retail partner executives and buying teams
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue expansion opportunities within existing accounts across new product categories, geographies, or store locations
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions, resolve challenges, and execute joint initiatives
- Track account performance against KPIs, market trends, and competitive positioning; prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Travel to customer locations regularly to strengthen relationships and conduct on-site meetings
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of key account management, enterprise sales, or related experience in retail, wholesale, or distribution
- Demonstrated success growing large, strategic accounts and closing significant expansion deals
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence across executive levels
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in CRM platforms, sales forecasting, and business metrics
- Strategic thinker who balances long-term partnership vision with short-term execution discipline
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
