AWS Solutions Architect – Remote – India

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization seeking an AWS Solutions Architect to join their technology team on a remote basis. This is a critical role requiring deep cloud expertise combined with hands-on manufacturing industry experience.

Our talent team is working with a client who has embarked on a significant cloud transformation journey and needs an architect who understands both the technical complexities of AWS and the operational realities of production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and architect large-scale migrations from traditional data centers to AWS infrastructure
• Design and implement complex hybrid-cloud environments with robust replication and failover patterns
• Architect solutions using core AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, AWS Backup, and Direct Connect
• Develop high-availability and disaster recovery strategies tailored to manufacturing operations
• Design advanced networking architectures supporting on-premise to cloud integration
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure cloud solutions support shop floor systems and production constraints
• Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization using tools like AWS Cost Explorer
• Implement load balancing and scalability patterns for mission-critical applications

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with significant focus on manufacturing environments
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification (required)
• Proven track record leading at least one large-scale migration from traditional infrastructure to AWS
• Deep, hands-on expertise with EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, AWS Backup, and Direct Connect
• Strong experience architecting hybrid-cloud environments with advanced networking capabilities
• Direct manufacturing experience with understanding of production systems, MES, and SCADA environments
• Experience with solution architecture, cloud migration strategies, and high-availability design

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Experience with manufacturing data collection systems and ERP platforms
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for food and pharmaceutical packaging (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP)
• Hands-on experience with AWS IoT services and AWS Bedrock for data analysis
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Scripting capabilities in Python or Bash
