About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential public sector organization in Germany for an apprenticeship program beginning August 2027. We are seeking motivated candidates for a three-year vocational training position as IT Systems Integration Specialist (Fachinformatiker_in Systemintegration). This structured apprenticeship combines classroom learning at a vocational college with hands-on practice in a professional IT department, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge directly in real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities

During your apprenticeship, you will develop expertise across a broad range of IT infrastructure tasks:

• Analyze requirements from colleagues and departments, advising on appropriate IT systems while considering technical, economic, and organizational factors
• Develop implementation concepts for new IT systems and plan their integration into existing infrastructures, including security and data protection considerations
• Install and configure hardware and software components including servers, networks, operating systems, and applications
• Monitor IT systems to identify errors, analyze root causes, and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime
• Perform regular maintenance work to sustain system performance and continuously optimize systems for efficient use
• Document all work steps and processes thoroughly
• Train staff on IT systems and provide ongoing support for questions and technical problems
• Collaborate with other departments and external service providers on infrastructure projects

What We're Looking For

• Completed secondary education (minimum Fachoberschulreife or equivalent)
• Strong skills in mathematics and computer science
• Genuine interest in technical systems and how they work
• Successful completion of our client's selection process
• German language proficiency sufficient for vocational training in Germany
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn across different IT environments

Training Structure & Benefits

This is a full three-year apprenticeship program with rotation between vocational school and practical departments. You will work 39 hours per week with flexible scheduling options and receive 30 days of annual leave. The program includes comprehensive mentorship, onboarding events with fellow trainees, and regular peer exchange opportunities. A laptop will be provided for your use throughout the entire training period, including during school phases. Strong candidates typically receive permanent employment offers upon successful completion.
