Applied AI, Fullstack Software Engineer, Critical and Sovereign Institutions, Paris

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking an Applied AI Fullstack Software Engineer to support adoption among critical infrastructure and sovereign institutions in Paris. This is a customer-facing engineering role where you will design, build, and deploy full-stack AI applications tailored to complex, highly regulated environments.

You will work directly with clients from pre-sale through post-implementation, ensuring solutions meet the highest standards of security, reliability, and compliance while integrating advanced AI capabilities into mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers, AI engineers, and product teams on complex customer projects, integrating AI models into client software products
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications with seamless front-end and back-end integration
• Build GenAI applications, interfaces, APIs, dashboards, and workflow tools for critical infrastructure and highly regulated organizations
• Work directly with customers to understand workflows, technical constraints, security requirements, and strategic objectives
• Ensure solutions prioritize security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and compliance
• Provide feedback to product and science teams based on customer interactions, particularly for security-sensitive and mission-critical use cases
• Develop complex use cases with customers in sovereign environments, providing guidance on production integration

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Fluent in English
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years as a technical individual contributor on cutting-edge technologies
• Strong technical coding skills in Python and TypeScript
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, NextJS, or VueJS
• Experience with back-end technologies such as NodeJS
• Solid understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable in customer-facing environments and translating complex user needs into production-ready solutions
• Passion for building reliable, secure, and useful products for organizations in sensitive or high-impact environments
• Must hold French citizenship
• Must meet all local requirements for high-level security clearance (no criminal record, fulfillment of national service obligations)

Preferred:

• Experience with LLM/GenAI models
• Contributions to open-source projects or libraries
• Experience as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager
• Experience working with critical infrastructure, government, defense, financial services, healthcare, energy, telecommunications, or other regulated sectors
• Familiarity with security-sensitive environments including on-prem deployments, private cloud, data residency, access control, auditability, and compliance constraints
• Experience building AI-powered products or internal tools for enterprise customers
