Applied AI Engineer, Fullstack Software Engineer – EMEA

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking an Applied AI Engineer with strong fullstack development capabilities for their Paris office. This role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and enterprise software engineering, working directly with clients across high-stakes industries including finance, manufacturing, healthcare, and the public sector.

As part of our client's Applied AI Engineering team, you will bridge the gap between advanced AI capabilities and real-world production deployments. You'll work hands-on with customers from pre-sale through implementation, ensuring complex AI systems integrate seamlessly into their existing technology stacks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers, AI engineers, and product teams on complex customer projects, integrating advanced AI models into client software products
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable fullstack applications with seamless front-end and back-end integration
• Develop sophisticated use cases with customers, providing technical guidance on production-ready implementations
• Work across the full technology stack to ensure robust, scalable solutions that meet enterprise requirements
• Partner with product and research teams to incorporate customer feedback and drive continuous improvement
• Serve as a technical bridge between clients and internal engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Fluency in English (required for this EMEA-facing role)
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience as a technical individual contributor working with cutting-edge technologies
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks such as React, NextJS, or VueJS
• Experience with back-end technologies including NodeJS
• Solid understanding of software development principles: design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with large language models or generative AI technologies
• Contributions to open-source projects or libraries
• Background in customer-facing technical roles such as Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager
