SAP ABAP Programmer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology consulting client seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join their remote team. This is a direct-hire, full-time W2 position supporting large enterprise SAP landscapes with a focus on S/4HANA development and integration.

We are looking for a developer who can design, develop, and support custom enhancements, integrations, and reports across the full development lifecycle—from requirements gathering through post-go-live support. You'll work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver HANA-optimized solutions that follow clean-core principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom ABAP enhancements, integrations, and reports within S/4HANA environments
• Build and maintain OData services for Fiori application integration
• Implement enhancement frameworks including BADIs, user exits, and implicit/explicit enhancements
• Develop CDS views, AMDPs, and other HANA-optimized ABAP objects
• Integrate SAP systems using IDoc, RFC, BAPI, and Web Services technologies
• Perform performance tuning using SAT, ST05, and HANA diagnostic tools
• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and technical documentation
• Support transport management and change request processes through SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 6+ years of professional ABAP development experience with significant S/4HANA exposure
• Strong hands-on expertise with ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDPs, and HANA-optimized ABAP
• Solid experience building OData services and integrating with Fiori applications
• Hands-on experience with enhancement frameworks (BADIs, user exits, enhancements)
• Strong experience with integration technologies: IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services
• Understanding of SAP module data structures (FI/CO, SD, MM, or PP)
• Experience with performance tuning tools (SAT, ST05) and HANA diagnostics
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, and transport management
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• U.S. work authorization (Citizens, Green Card, EAD, or H-1B transfer; no new H-1B sponsorship available)

Preferred:

• Experience with S/4HANA system conversions or greenfield implementations
• Exposure to SAP BTP, ABAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), or steampunk
• Hands-on Fiori/UI5 development experience
• Familiarity with SAP CPI or Integration Suite
• SAP ABAP developer certification

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $100,000–$150,000 annually

This is a full-time, direct W2 position located 100% remote within the United States.
