AI Ops Lead – Forward Deploy

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for an AI Ops Lead - Forward Deploy. This is a unique opportunity to be the architect of how AI transforms actual business operations—not just proof-of-concepts, but measurable workflow improvements that stick.

Most AI initiatives fail at the last mile: promising solutions get built, but teams never change how they work. You'll close that gap by embedding directly with functional teams, learning their constraints deeply, and building AI-powered solutions that create real business outcomes. You'll spend months at a time with each function—starting likely with Compliance—identifying the true bottleneck (not just the most tedious task), building against it, iterating until results move, and ensuring teams can sustain the new workflow after you've moved on.

This is the first dedicated forward-deployed AI role across the broader organization, which means you won't just execute a playbook—you'll write it. You'll define what makes an embed successful, how long it should last, what a durable handoff requires, and how to prioritize where AI Operations focuses next.

Responsibilities

• Embed with teams across the organization and learn their workflows deeply enough to identify where AI could meaningfully improve business outcomes
• Partner with functional leaders to define clear success metrics before building—reducing turnaround time, shrinking backlogs, improving quality, or increasing capacity
• Build and ship AI-powered workflows, automations, and internal tools using the existing AI Engineering platform
• Test and iterate until solutions produce measurable results, not simply reach production
• Lead change management to make new ways of working stick: training, documentation, ongoing support
• Create durable handoffs, leaving teams with reliable tools, clear operating documentation, and accountable owners
• Help establish the operating model for forward-deployed AI Operations across the company

What We're Looking For

• 4–7 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, product operations, or similar roles where you owned a business outcome end to end—not just a project plan
• Hands-on AI building experience: agents, workflows, automations, internal tools—not just using AI products day to day
• Comfortable defining your own KPI, plan, and build in ambiguity, then defending all three to a skeptical team lead
• Fluent with tooling (APIs, low-code/no-code builders, SQL) to know what's feasible, and fluent in plain language to sell it to teams who didn't ask for a new tool
• Strong change management instincts: you know adoption requires more than just shipping code
• Located in Canada or the United States

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai:

• US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or San Francisco Bay Area: $180,200–$225,200 USD
• US employees in other locations: $162,200–$202,700 USD
• Canadian employees (any location): $170,300–$212,800 CAD

Compensation includes base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits. Final offers are based on experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity.
