AI Edge Deployment Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential manufacturing technology organization seeking an AI Edge Deployment Engineer to join their team in Berlin. This is a hands-on role where you'll own the complete deployment lifecycle of edge AI systems at industrial customer sites across Europe and beyond.

You'll be responsible for assembling, configuring, and installing hardware infrastructure—including compute nodes, networking equipment, and camera systems—ensuring reliable operation in real production environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install complete edge computing setups including cameras, compute nodes, and networking components at customer facilities
• Configure devices, test connectivity, and verify end-to-end data flow from edge to cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to accelerate installation, calibration, and verification processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues spanning hardware, network, and software layers
• Coordinate component sourcing and logistics with internal operations teams
• Ensure all installations meet reliability, safety, and performance standards
• Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites as needed

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in industrial hardware installation, systems integration, or field engineering
• Strong practical experience with Linux administration, networking protocols, and device configuration
• Familiarity with edge computing architectures, camera systems, or IoT deployments
• Proficiency in Bash or Python for setup automation and diagnostics is a strong plus
• Comfortable working independently on customer sites with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license required for transporting equipment to client sites and conducting installations
• Physical capability to occasionally lift 30kg+ equipment
• Willingness to travel both domestically within Germany and internationally
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in industrial environments
