About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization in Stuttgart, Germany, seeking an AI Application Engineer with deep expertise in LangGraph and agentic AI systems. This role focuses on transforming business requirements into intelligent applications that can reason through complex tasks, interact with enterprise systems, and automate multi-step business processes.
You'll work at the intersection of AI engineering, software development, and business process transformation, building production-grade solutions that combine LLM reasoning with enterprise workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI applications using LangGraph and LLM technologies to execute complex, multi-step business processes
- Build stateful workflows incorporating reasoning, tool usage, validation, approvals, and exception handling
- Integrate LLMs into production applications with appropriate prompt strategies, structured outputs, and context management
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions connecting AI to enterprise documents, databases, and knowledge repositories
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for intelligent automation with human-in-the-loop approval workflows
- Develop evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, task completion, reliability, latency, and cost metrics
- Deploy and operate AI applications in cloud environments with monitoring, logging, and performance management
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify valuable use cases
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- Commercial experience developing AI/LLM applications in production environments
- Hands-on experience with LangGraph and agentic workflow development
- Strong Python development skills
- Experience deploying AI applications into production
- Deep understanding of LLMs, RAG, tool calling, structured outputs, and prompt engineering
- Experience integrating AI applications with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, or SaaS platforms
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with AI evaluation, monitoring, and observability tools
Desirable Skills:
- LangChain / LangSmith experience
- Multi-agent systems development
- Vector databases and embedding systems
- Kubernetes and Docker containerization
- FastAPI and data pipeline development
- MLOps practices and AI security/governance
- Enterprise process automation experience
- Background in financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, or complex enterprise environments
