Account Manager:in (Public Sector) (Elternzeitvertretung)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential public affairs consultancy seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their Munich team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract starting November 2026 (12 months). This role combines strategic advisory work with hands-on campaign execution for a long-standing public sector client.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for a major public sector client account
• Manage editorial calendars and oversee content development from conception through publication across social media platforms including LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram
• Coordinate project workflows and serve as liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders
• Provide strategic counsel on political communication initiatives, drawing on knowledge of political processes and key players in Bavaria and Germany
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape, bringing innovative ideas to client engagements
• Maintain and develop editorial planning using project management tools such as Monday
• Create visual content and graphics using tools like Canva
• Prepare client presentations and reports

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in political science, marketing, digital communications, or related field (or equivalent professional training)
• 2-4 years of professional experience in social media and digital marketing, ideally in agency or client-side roles
• Passion for political topics and public sector communications
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage detailed workflows across multiple teams
• Previous experience working within political institutions (political parties, parliamentary groups, ministries, legislative offices) is a significant advantage
• Proficiency with social media management tools and current platform best practices
• Graphic design capabilities using applications like Canva
• Strong PowerPoint skills for creating compelling presentations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
• Interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency and capabilities
• Proactive mindset and desire to contribute to portfolio growth
