Contract Management Specialist I

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Contract Management Specialist I to join their sponsored programs team. This is a fully remote, full-time position supporting critical research and academic contracting functions.

In this role, you'll serve as a key liaison between stakeholders and business operations, negotiating and drafting various types of agreements with public and private entities. You'll work with research funding agreements across government, foundation, and industry sponsors, while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and process contracts with public and private entities supporting research initiatives
• Manage various research funding agreements from federal, state, foundation, and industry sponsors
• Develop agreements supporting research collaborations, including multi-site projects, data transfer agreements, research collaboration agreements, and service agreements
• Assist stakeholders in developing agreements that comply with institutional policies and regulations (HIPAA, FDA, export compliance, etc.)
• Provide guidance and training on budget and contracting issues to internal constituencies
• Identify, prioritize, and communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders using clear, diplomatic written and oral communication
• Develop and strengthen cross-departmental relationships to integrate services and products
• Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding issues and escalate matters appropriately
• Provide centralized contract support for assigned divisions

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience: 3+ years of work experience in contract management, research administration, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare and research settings
• Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and diplomatically
• Initiative and resourcefulness in problem-solving
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain effective working relationships
• Professional demeanor when providing contract development, negotiation, and management assistance
