Floater/Equipment Operator – Aggregate Plant

Heidelbergmaterials is looking for a Floater/Equipment Operator to join our aggregate plant operations team in Connellsville, PA. This is a full-time position where you'll operate and maintain essential equipment across our production facility, ensuring consistent output and safety standards.

What This Role Involves

As a Floater/Equipment Operator at our aggregate plant, you'll be a versatile member of the operations team, trained to work across multiple equipment stations. You'll be responsible for operating crushing, screening, and material handling equipment while monitoring production quality and troubleshooting equipment issues. This position requires someone who can adapt to different work areas, learn quickly, and maintain focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate aggregate processing equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, and loaders
• Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings to meet quality specifications
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues to supervisors
• Maintain accurate production records and material tracking logs
• Conduct visual inspections of finished material and alert management to quality concerns
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment
• Support other team members and assist with training on equipment operations
• Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain safe working conditions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to learn and operate multiple types of equipment
• Ability to work in an outdoor industrial environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Physical capability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
• Prior equipment operation or industrial experience preferred but not required
