What This Role Involves
As Supplier Development Lead, you'll build and strengthen strategic vendor relationships that fuel Globalhr's operational success. Your work spans supplier evaluation, relationship management, and performance optimization. You'll work cross-functionally to align sourcing strategies with business needs, negotiate favorable agreements, and implement improvement programs that enhance quality and reduce costs across our supply network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop supplier strategies and initiatives aligned with company procurement priorities and business objectives
- Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and performance standards are met
- Lead cost reduction and operational efficiency programs through direct supplier engagement
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure optimal value and partnership conditions
- Manage and expand the supplier base while cultivating long-term vendor relationships
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect operations
- Partner with internal teams to communicate supplier performance and resolve issues collaboratively
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in supplier development, vendor management, or procurement
- Track record of successful contract negotiation and measurable cost savings
- Strong ability to analyze supplier performance data and metrics
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with supply chain optimization and strategic sourcing practices
- Comfort with procurement software and data analysis tools
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field, or equivalent experience
