Globalfoundries is seeking a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) specializing in Physical AI Software Stack to join our Bengaluru-based team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge semiconductor design automation and artificial intelligence initiatives at a global foundry.

Position Summary

As a DMTS Physical AI SW Stack engineer at Globalfoundries in Bengaluru, you will architect and develop advanced software solutions that integrate artificial intelligence with physical design methodologies. This senior technical role involves designing robust software frameworks, optimizing AI-driven tools, and establishing best practices across our semiconductor design platform. You'll work on strategic projects that shape how physical design automation evolves in the industry, collaborating with cross-functional teams across Globalfoundries' global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect the physical AI software stack, including machine learning frameworks and automation tools for semiconductor design
• Lead the development, optimization, and deployment of AI-enabled solutions for physical design challenges
• Mentor engineering teams and establish technical standards for software quality, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with design, process, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into manufacturing workflows
• Conduct technical reviews, troubleshoot complex system issues, and drive continuous improvement across the software platform
• Research emerging AI and machine learning techniques and evaluate their application to semiconductor physical design

Who We're Looking For

• Deep expertise in software architecture, with proven experience building complex, scalable systems
• Strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications within physical design or semiconductor technology
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding technical strategy and mentoring engineering organizations
• Proficiency in modern software development practices, testing methodologies, and software engineering principles
• Knowledge of semiconductor design automation, physical design tools, or EDA (Electronic Design Automation) workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration
