As a CNC Operator I at Wabtec in Monte Alto, you'll work with state-of-the-art CNC machinery to produce high-precision components that drive performance across multiple industries. This entry-level to intermediate operator role is designed for individuals with foundational CNC experience or formal training who are ready to build a skilled career in precision manufacturing. Your Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, lathes, and specialized machinery following engineering specifications and work orders
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD specifications to configure machines with precision
• Load raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper alignment, secure placement, and safety protocols
• Monitor machine performance during operation, adjust parameters as necessary, and maintain consistent output quality
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments and verify conformance to technical specifications
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, tool changes, and equipment checks
• Document production metrics, maintain detailed logs, and report equipment issues or anomalies promptly
• Adhere to workplace safety standards, housekeeping requirements, and environmental compliance procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent technical certification
• Proven experience operating CNC equipment or completion of formal CNC machining training
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings and blueprint specifications
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and quality control instruments
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to maintaining quality standards
• Reliable attendance and consistent punctuality in a full-time manufacturing environment
• Basic computer competency for machine programming, data entry, and digital systems
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and perform hands-on work throughout shifts
