Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team at our Hemel Hempstead location. As a Chef with Greene King, you'll lead food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This part-time role offers flexibility whilst allowing you to contribute your expertise to a dynamic hospitality environment where your culinary skills truly matter.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
• Manage mise en place and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation
• Oversee kitchen staff and coordinate meal preparation during service
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
• Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering needs to management
• Adapt menus and dishes based on seasonal availability and customer preferences
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a senior kitchen role
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
• Culinary skills with ability to prepare diverse, quality dishes
• Leadership capability and experience managing kitchen teams
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
