Orthofi-open-roles is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Denver, CO. In this full-time role, you'll design, build, and maintain scalable software systems while mentoring junior engineers and shaping our technical direction.
Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of core platform components, contribute to architectural decisions, and help establish engineering best practices. You'll work across the full development lifecycle—from requirements and design through implementation, testing, and deployment—on systems that matter to our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, maintainable software solutions that scale reliably
- Write clean, well-tested code and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high quality standards
- Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver thoughtful solutions
- Mentor and support junior engineers through code review, pair programming, and technical guidance
- Identify opportunities to improve system architecture, performance, and reliability
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents with urgency and care
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated impact
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience with databases, APIs, and modern development practices
- Excellent communication skills and genuine interest in mentoring others
- Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
