Agronomist – Plant Biology

Plantiblefoods is seeking an experienced Agronomist – Plant Biology professional to join our team in Eldorado, TX. In this full-time role, you'll apply your expertise in plant science and crop management to drive innovation in sustainable food production.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct field assessments and monitor crop health, growth patterns, and environmental conditions
• Analyze soil composition and recommend targeted amendments to improve productivity
• Develop and implement crop management strategies that maximize yield while minimizing environmental impact
• Evaluate plant varieties and growing protocols to identify optimal performance combinations
• Identify and manage pest, disease, and weed challenges using integrated pest management principles
• Collect and analyze agronomic data to generate reports and actionable insights
• Collaborate with researchers and production teams on experimental trials and pilot programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agronomy, plant biology, crop science, or a related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, and crop management practices
• Experience with field sampling, diagnostic techniques, and data collection methods
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and adapt to varying weather conditions
• Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
