Accounting Manager

Prime System Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in a full-time remote position serving Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Lead our financial operations, manage reporting compliance, and drive accuracy across our accounting function.

Role Overview

As Accounting Manager at Prime System Solutions, you will oversee financial accounting operations and reporting processes. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting management decision-making with reliable financial data. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while managing critical accounting functions for our growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation processes
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to strengthen financial governance
• Liaise with auditors and tax authorities on regulatory matters
• Lead and mentor accounting team members, fostering professional development
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for senior management and stakeholders

Who We're Looking For

• Accounting qualification (SAICA, ACCA, or equivalent recognised credential)
• 5+ years' experience in accounting management or senior accounting roles
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements applicable in South Africa
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote environment
