Senior Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager

Prime System Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager to join our team in South Africa. This is a full-time, remote position managing critical network infrastructure and operations for our expanding client base.

Role Overview

As Senior Network Operations Center Manager at Prime System Solutions, you'll lead 24/7 network operations and monitoring, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of critical systems. You'll oversee incident response protocols, manage network escalations, and drive continuous improvement across NOC operations. This role reports directly to senior leadership and shapes our operational strategy across South Africa and beyond.

Core Duties

• Supervise and mentor NOC staff, fostering a high-performance team culture
• Monitor network infrastructure, systems, and applications using advanced monitoring tools
• Manage incident detection, triage, and resolution to minimise downtime
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for network operations
• Coordinate with systems engineering, security, and customer success teams
• Conduct root cause analysis on major incidents and implement preventative measures
• Report on network performance metrics, SLA compliance, and operational KPIs
• Evaluate and recommend network monitoring and management technologies

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of network operations or infrastructure management experience
• Proven experience managing and developing technical teams
• Expert knowledge of network protocols, monitoring platforms, and infrastructure systems
• Strong incident management and troubleshooting capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work flexibly across time zones in a 24/7 operations environment
• ITIL, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent IT certifications preferred
