Youth Soccer Coach

Community Sports Partners is hiring a full-time Youth Soccer Coach to lead dynamic, inclusive coaching programs for young athletes in Milton, Ontario. This is your opportunity to build foundational soccer skills, foster team spirit, and make a lasting impact on the next generation of players.

Position Summary

As our Youth Soccer Coach, you'll design and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels. You'll create a welcoming environment where young players develop technical proficiency, tactical awareness, and a genuine love for the game. Working full-time with Community Sports Partners, you'll be central to our mission of making quality coaching accessible to youth in the Milton community.

Core Duties

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate practice sessions focused on ball control, positioning, passing, and game tactics
• Coach recreational and competitive youth soccer teams during regular season and tournament play
• Provide constructive feedback to individual players and teams to support their development
• Maintain a safe, inclusive training environment that emphasizes sportsmanship and respect
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding player progress and program information
• Organize training drills, scrimmages, and match schedules to maximise player engagement and growth
• Model professional conduct and promote positive values aligned with youth sports development

Qualifications

• Proven experience coaching youth soccer or demonstrable playing experience at a competitive level
• Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, rules, formations, and game strategy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with young athletes and families
• Current or willingness to obtain relevant coaching certification (e.g. Ontario Soccer certification or equivalent)
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different ages, abilities, and learning styles
• Commitment to player safety, child protection standards, and duty of care
• Enthusiasm for fostering teamwork, resilience, and enjoyment of sport
